The court appeared deeply divided over a Texas law against “deviate sexual intercourse with another individual of the same sex.” Justices framed the argument in moral and historical terms as a clash over equality, privacy and government’s role in upholding traditional values.
The Court agreed to consider the case back in December. We pray that the Court will uphold the Texas law.

“In its zeal to give the illusion of homeland security and trying to catch terrorists, the federal government will instead create a surveillance state to spy on its own citizenry. And in casting a wide net, such action will likely violate the guarantee of the Fourth Amendment for ‘people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.’”
In the past few years grocery store loyalty cards have become standard fare for most Americans. Now a number of people are rising up in protest. A front page article in today’s The Dallas Morning News highlights the growing protest.
We have both Kroger and Tom Thumb cards in our wallets. We don’t really worry that Kroger knows which groceries we buy. Tom Thumb may wonder why we only buy gas at their store though! Can you say AAdvantage Miles?
