We are still here! It has been almost two weeks without any updates here at the texas blog. Between a massive garage sale, a massive house painting project, and trip to Houston, we just have not had time to update the site. We have missed out on a number of things over the course of the past two weeks:

• Apple previews Panther and announces the delicious Power Mac G5
• The Supreme Court steps on states rights and overturns the Texas sodomy law. The Court also announced a mixed decision on race-based college admissions. UT looks to jump at the chance to get out from under the Hopwood case. More at SCOTUSBlog.
• Baylor basketball player Patrick Dennehy was shot, murdered? Who knows, but he has been missing for almost three weeks.
• Juan Gonzales turns down another trade to a contender. Carl Everett didn’t.
• Rice won its first championship winning the College World Series.
• Cowboy’s spare safety Keith Davis was shot outside a stip club.
• Funky RSS and Echo became hot topics in blog world. What’s the difference?
• RIAA beefs up its war on mp3 traders.
• Google Toolbar 2.0 beta released, still no Mac/*nix version. Where is the outrage?
