Emma made her first public singing performance today at church.

Emma overcomes her jitters to sing “Jesus is the Rock” with a little help from Ms. Leah.

Feeling a little more comfortable now.

Being part of such an large group is a bit intimidating.

Hey, this isn’t so bad.
Needless to say it was quite emotional to see Emma singing her heart out for the Lord. It was all I could do not to breakdown and cry as I saw the nervous look on her face when she started to sing. I knew that look on her face very well. My daughter has the same facial expressions that I have been known to make while standing in front of a large group!
It was great to see her grow more comfortable as the minutes passed. She was really into it when singing “Open the Eyes of My Heart.” I am so thankful that my little girl has a desire to praise and worship the Lord. I was one proud daddy. I can only imagine the joy our Heavenly Father experienced as so many little ones sang to Him.
Thanks so much to Nannie, Chief, Papa, Dede, and Cassie for being there. Thank you Ms. Peggy, Ms. Leah, and Ms. Katie for serving Emma and the other children.

Tonight we took Emma to see Disney on Ice Presents: Disney’s Princess Classics, Produced by Feld Entertainment. The show was entertaining and technically (lights, stage, robotics, etc.) outstanding.
Parents be forewarned, hide your wallets and tame your kids expectations for Disney merchandise. Disney cotton candy cost $6. A snow cone in a plastic princess mug, $8. A 3×3 (maybe) picture with Mickey and Minnie, a mere $12 for a cardboard frame. You prefer a plastic frame, make it $16. Just about everything Disney Princess in available at a steep price!
