Finally, after three years, Emma got to see the balloons lift off at the 2003 Plano Balloon Festival.
The familiar red, white and blue hot air balloon, boasting the City of Plano logo, is owned and piloted by nationally and internationally known local pilot Dianne Karlsson.
Shannon and Emma enjoyed the sights and sounds despite the huge crowds and long lines. Maybe next year, they will sell the smart cards online before the event. Update: DallasNews.com is reporting over 135,000 visitors to the event this year!
