ESPN looks at Florida QB Tim Tebow:

It truly would be a shame to submit to cynicism and not fully appreciate the gift of Tebow — the way he plays football with an unquenchable passion, and the way he approaches life with even greater ardor. If you think he hits linebackers hard on fourth-and-1, that’s nothing compared to the way he tackles his higher calling to spread the word. In this one instance, what looks too good to be true really is true.

I pray that Christ will continue to be glorified in the life of Tim Tebow.

OU boots Rhett Bomar

August 2, 2006

Just heard it on The Ticket!

The Oklahoman has the story:

Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops dismissed two unnamed players from the Sooner football team. News 9 sports director Dean Blevins says one of them is starting quarterback Rhett Bomar.

Joy in Austin, College Station, and Lubbock tonight. Just don’t get too cocky guys!

I hope this kid enjoys his Aggie days, they are not going to last long.

“They take care of you down there,” McCoy said. “I know from my brother they keep your pockets full, give you plenty of money, keep feeding you meals. Besides that all the help they give you with football. They keep you on your grades with private tutoring. Just good all-around.”

The full article can be found at MyWestTexas.com where Jack Marrion may have sparked the next NCAA investigation in Aggieland.
