Apple’s new dual processor Power Mac G4s aren’t exactly the answer to this Mac geek’s prayers. Does the new DDR-SDRAM bolster performance? Not according to a new PowerLogix white paper.
Given the additional cost of DDR cache components, SDR is definitely the proper choice. It would appear that the only real advantage the term DDR brings, is as a marketing buzz word.
