Changes to driving records are coming to Texas on September 1, we are getting a point system.

Once you rack up 6 points on your record, you pay the consequences. That is $100 a year for 3 years and $25 for each additional point.

A slew a changes and new driving laws also take effect soon. You’ve got about ten days to remove that really cool dashboard mounted LCD panel for your DVD system!

Having a video display that is visible from the driver’s seat is illegal. SB 209 expands the definition of video receiving equipment to include digital videodisc players, videocassette players or similar equipment. This equipment may be used only if it is located so that the video display is not visible from the operator’s seat.

BusinessWeek How Apple Spells Future:

So far, Apple has largely sold iPods to Mac users, who represent a tiny portion of the market. Now, it’s preparing to release, probably by yearend, a Windows version of both the iPod and its iTunes software for managing digital music.

I couldn’t agree more with the bright future for Apple and the iPod. What I want Apple to push for now is iPod integration with car stereos. I’m not talking about some tape adapter. I am talking about a built-in docking station/firewire connection to the car. Just imagine the possibilities!
