Comerica moving to Dallas

DallasNews.com reports that Comerica is moving their headquarters to Dallas:

Comerica Inc. said Tuesday it plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Dallas.

The Detroit company said the move to Texas will allow it to take advantage of a more central location with improved accessibility to its markets.

Comerica currently has 71 banking centers in Dallas, Houston and Austin, and has said it expects to significantly increase its growth in Texas. With more than $58 billion in assets, Comerica will be the largest bank holding company with headquarters in the state.

Great news for Dallas, let’s just hope the City Council does not do anything to screw this up!

1 shot in Plano bank robbery

From DallasNews.com:

One suspect was shot during an attempted robbery at a West Plano bank Wednesday afternoon, police said.
3900 block of W. Park Boulevard, Plano.

The shooting occurred at a MetroBank branch in the 3900 block of West Park Boulevard. Plano police spokesman Andrae Smith said an off-duty Plano officer in full uniform who was working security at the bank noticed two men enter the building just before 2 p.m.
