A few days have passed now since we came together and looked at "Grace before Time," which is to say the Bible's teaching on election. I know the discussion has carried on and I pray that it continue.

Everything is available on my blog at http://ecrosstexas.com/blog/2008/10/18/grace-is...

I really appreciated the discussion that was generated as we read scripture and shared with one another our understanding of election. This is not an easy subject to grasp. It has been a source of controversy in the church going back 1600 years. R.C. Sproul mentioned that he wrestled with this issue for 5 years before he came to fully understand, accept, and appreciate the Bible's teaching.

I would encourage each of you to seriously study the scriptures on this issue. It may not seem like that big of deal to you, but this issue gets to the heart of who God is. It is of utmost importance that each of us know the Living Lord of the Universe.

I have added a number of resources for further study and will likely continue to do so. The audio selections are God honoring and I heartily recommend them all to you.

Lord, open our eyes. Help us to know your heart. Help us to grow in your grace and know you as revealed in your Word. Amen.

In Christ,

Eric

Soli Deo Gloria
