A few days ago we posted a note “Site Hijacked?.” We really haven’t spent too much time trying to learn more about it since then. Today, we did finally get around to searching for an explanation. A trip over to Google lead to this thread at MetaTalk. Seems Metafilter got hit too.
It looks like some proxy service for DoCoMo cell phone users. We share the concerns over lack of explanation, content being repackaged with an ad at the top, and in our case being spidered by Google. Matt blocked the IP, we are considering similar measures.
